Hello everyone,
We have seen the feedback regarding TikTok posts. We recognize that there has been an influx of this content recently and wanted to give the community a chance to weigh in on it. The purpose of this thread is to gauge the community's stance on the topic. Poll results are used as guidance when considering rule changes, and are not a guarantee that change will occur.
The following can currently be found within our Title Guidelines:
Posts containing content you do not own (cosplay, art, video, etc.) must credit the original creator in the title in [brackets] or (parentheses). Example: Cool drawing of Drift [Username]
This means if the TikTok you are posting is not yours, you must credit the original creator in the title of your post.
If users do not give credit, it is not easy to verify if the content is theirs or not. We do appreciate the reports from all of you pointing out situations where credit is not properly given.
With all that in mind, we want to know what you think:
Should TikTok posts be prohibited?
