Governance Poll | Implement a 10% bonus for holding Brick in Vault

Proposed by u/Own-Routine-7623

I think that we should reward people for holding their bricks. By promoting this by offering a reward, less people will cash out, they will have a greater say in governance polls, and have more bricks to use for things such as the sub membership. This bonus would be capped at 250 karma per distribution. The distribution cap means that if you earn 5000 karma in a given distribution, and held your Bricks from the previous distribution, you get 5000+250 (max bonus is reached at 2500 karma). You're allowed to purchase the sub membership, trade them for Reddit coins, and tip up to 250 bricks to users, and still qualify for the bonus for that distribution cycle.

Summary:

• Keeping Brick earned from the previous distribution in your Vault can earn you a 10% bonus in the next distribution
• 10% bonus is capped at 250 karma
• For each distribution period, you can spend Brick freely on subreddit features/functionality, and/or tip up to 250 Bricks to other users, and still qualify for the bonus
• Benefit to holding Brick in your Vault means you have more weight in governance polls, increasing your impact on the future of Bricks in the community

Note from the Mods: We felt it was important to point out that the bonus Brick is not Brick in addition to the distribution. The bonus Brick is taken from the same Bricks being distributed. This applies to all proposed bonuses, including the currently active 5% bonus for voting in Governance Polls. This means that the Brick used to reward those for holding, is being taken from those who did not hold their Bricks.

A new surprise is descending, speculated to be a way inside the Mothership.

The truth will be discovered soon: Fortnite v17.10 is scheduled to release on June 22. In preparation for the update, services will be disabled starting at approx. 03:30 AM ET (07:30 UTC).

As a reminder, Arena Hype Points will be reset with the release of v17.10, marking the end of the competitive pre-season.

Governance Poll | Implement a 1.5% rolling distribution cap

Governance Proposal

Proposed by u/Own-Routine-7623

I believe that a 1.5% karma cap would be beneficial to the community, because it would cut down on brick farming, and allow for a higher distribution of bricks, more equally across the community. As an example, there was 1,443,513 karma in this distribution cycle, and so the cap would be ~21,652 karma. By having a percent cap, vs a fixed cap, less than a handful of users will be impacted negatively, the ratio will stay higher for everyone for a longer time, and those farming for bricks, are less likely to switch to other accounts, because they don’t know when they hit the cap.

Summary:

• Any given user's contributor score cannot exceed 1.5% of total karma in distribution
• Using a percentage rather than a fixed amount, means its harder to exploit
• Using a percentage rather than a fixed amount, means the maximum amount of Brick a user can earn changes with each distribution
• A distribution cap results in a more equal distribution

The next distribution of Bricks is ready. You can claim your Bricks through the Vault in the Reddit mobile app (iOS/Android).

Bricks are r/FortNiteBR's form of Community Points, a way for users to be rewarded for their contributions to the subreddit, and they can be used on premium features in the community.

This distribution is based on karma earned from 2021-05-12 to 2021-06-08. Here is the finalized list, with contribution scores signed by Reddit (users with no signatures yet do not have a registered Vault. They will be able to claim their Bricks when they create their Vault through the Reddit app).

New Bricks Distribution (Round 14 Proposal)

UPDATE (6/9/2021): Following the passing of this poll, a karma bonus for voting on governance polls has been implemented starting with this distribution of Bricks.

Bricks are r/FortNiteBR's version of Community Points. Community Points are a way for users to be rewarded for their contributions to the subreddit, and they can be used on premium features in the community.

Bricks are distributed every 4 weeks based on contributions people make to r/FortNiteBR. For every distribution, Reddit publishes karma data as a default measure of contribution. The community can review the data and optionally propose an alternative distribution, if they wish.

This distribution is based on karma earned from 2021-05-12 to 2021-06-08. Here is the data.

To propose an alternative distribution:

• You can create a CSV with alternative contribution scores or propose changes to the algorithm used to calculate them from karma (as long as the changes can be implemented easily).
• The amount of Bricks distributed to a user will be proportional to their contribution score. Contribution scores cannot be negative.
• Make a poll to have the community vote on your proposal. Include an accurate description of the changes you are proposing.
• In order to pass, the winning option in the poll must meet the decision threshold (minimum number of Bricks in support). If it is in favor of the change, it becomes the official contribution measurement (unless there is evidence of abuse in the vote, such as bribery). Algorithm changes will carry forward to future distributions.
• In case of multiple competing polls passing, the one with the most Bricks cast in favor will be the official one.
• If no alternative passes, the data provided here will become official.

The contribution scores for this round will be finalized on 2021-06-16. Any poll proposing an alternative needs to be completed by then.

After the scores are finalized, Reddit will sign the data and publish the final, official data. After that, people will be able to claim their Bricks through the Vault in the Reddit mobile app.

Team Rumble "Updated"...

So apparently Epic chose to push an update to Team Rumble and I can't express how unbelievable stupid they were to make these changes.

Before I go on, here are the changes I noted:

• You start a TR Game equipped w/ 3 Green/Uncommon weapons.
• Storm appears covering around 50% of the usable area of the map.
• Storm now travels to the first ring at a much faster rate. (Maybe off due to the reduced starting circle.)

...What?

I'm actually baffled.

They keep making silly changes to Team Rumble. If they want to F?!* around, then add a new mode, don't change something that's a decent break from regular Royale lobbies.

I come to Team Rumble for something a little more laid-back, something frankly relaxing after a few Royale games. I can look around the map, explore, complete quests, so on, so forth.

Now? I'll be honest, I don't think I'll continue playing even in Royale lobbies, I'll wait to see whether they change Team Rumble back.

I hate to be on to complain but can we revert Team Rumble back? it makes it unplayable with how it is now. as soon as the game starts a storm has formed and you can't even land at a poi to loot before the said storm already starts moving. :\
