Can We all Just Agree That Was The Best Thing any Developer has Done?

I watched it live, but I've never seen anything quite like this in a video game ever. I've never heard of a developer doing a live community event for every single player at the same time. On top of that it was total hype and was absolutely mental to watch. Freaking awesome Epic. Very nice.

Edit: I now know other games have done this like WoW. I'm a console boi that didn't get much into any mmo.. So this was an amazing first for me. My main point was this was exceptionally well done and an awesome surprise.

Myself and other Top 10 #ReplayRoyale Winners haven't received our prizes yet.

I got 2nd place in the #ReplayRoyale competition 2 months ago for my Boogie Royale submission. I received my VBucks around a week later + some Fortnite merch a month or so later but I haven't had any sign of my other prizes such as the Atomos Ninja Flame or the Tobii Eye Tracker.

I was in communication with Chris regarding my prizes but he seems to have left Epic to work at Blizzard. I've spoke with Enzait who got 1st place and he told me that he hasn't received all his prizes. He also told me some of the other Top 10 placers (e.g. Maro) that he's spoke with haven't received anything either.

I'm going to send an email to Epic support about this but I wanted to post here too as I know some of the staff are active here and may be able to help. I don't mind if they'll take a while longer but I just hope they haven't got lost or something like that! Thanks for reading :)

How to Avoid Being Killed During the Missile Launch

Please be aware that people will be killing each other so the killed person can’t watch the launch!

To avoid this, join a game 2 minutes before the launch and then jump of the battle bus at the last stop. When jumping out you should immediately deploy your glider. This will give you a nice view of the sky without being on the ground!

Please upvote for the people to know about this, and let people watch the launch in peace.

my friend who spoke with Epic told me this...

My friend spoke with epic employees and told me the season 4 end/season 5 setup. Basically, the visitor skin (blockbuster skin) is using the rocket to go home. The rocket fails and lands in moisty mire and ruins the world. They want the world to go back to normal so they build a time machine to take them back. This brings them back in time to the past, which is what season 5 is: history themed (e.g. greek, roman, egyptian, etc.). There will be an extension added to the map which will fill in that indentation into the land around C8. The time machine will be located on this extension.

I know this explanation is a little all over the place, but when season 5 arrives, come back to this post, i will probably be correct.

It's not too late to buy Season 4! Even for new players.

I always tell, and I always will tell to people, most of friends irl, say it's too late, you won't make it etc but it's not, you have plenty time, you might not make it to tier 100 but you'll earn plenty of rewards and profit with V-Bucks.

If you buy Season 4 now, you can earn up to 63 Tiers! and Get 1,000 V-Bucks Back. You will Profit and on top if you you'll still get skins, even if you're new player!

Let's say you're Tier 1, a new player, you can earn 57 Tiers from Weekly Challanges, so there's also 12 Days left, we can safely add 5 Extra Tiers, that's Tier 63 Challange's are not as hard as they look, majority of people can complete all weekly challanges within 4 days.

So, you could buy 1,000 Vbucks and buy season 4, you're left with 50 Vbucks, until Tier 59, you can earn up to 1,000 Vbucks back! Tier: 4, 11, 19, 27, 35, 43, 51, 59 (+18 & 34 from Free pass).

TL;DR, Don't listen to people saying it's too late, wait for Season 5, if you buy it now you will profit. Even if you're tier 1, but most of you I'm guessing are much more than that.

Guys I’m Desperate. Please help Upvote this so I can get my account/progress unlocked... I spent days on Season 4 and it’s all gone this week.

I’m out here desperate to get my account progress/skins back. I hit Tier 100 in season 3/4 and was grinding level 80 for full omega. I had just unlocked the blockbuster skin as well. Earlier this week I realized I can’t login and tried to login to my epic account and it kept saying inactive. I opened a support ticket and it said to reset password, but that didn’t work... I’ve been replying to that message via email, replying to Epic posts here and on twitter and even tried to call their phone line.

I don’t want anything more than my account and progress back. Hell, even if I lose my purchased skins and only got my battlepass season 3/4progress, I’d take that as a win at this point.

I’m not sure if I was hacked or banned, but if I was banned it would only be for being average at this game. I’m not out here dominating or anything.

Please help me with an upvote as it seems helpless to reach out to epic at this point. If you reply to this I’d gladly upvote a post from you guys. I’m not here to get my points up, I’m just here to get my account back during this double XP weekend and I need all the visibility I can get...

We’re continuing testing on our matchmaking improvements and are still aiming to open the Playground LTM as soon as we're confident in our improvements. Once we have confirmed that our testing was successful we will begin gradually rolling servers out to all regions and platforms until it’s available to all players.

Disabling Final Fight/Enabling 50v50

Heya Folks,
 
We’ve heard your feedback regarding the Final Fight LTM and we agree that the mode isn’t quite in a state where we want it to be. Due to this, we’ll be disabling Final Fight and re-enabling the 50v50 LTM at 10AM EDT.
 
This time around 50v50 will have:
 

• Double normal Dual Pistol spawn rate
• Double bounce pads spawns
• +50% resource rates
• 50v50 v2 storms

Yesterday we launched the Playground LTM. So many of you rushed in to create and play that our matchmaking service fell over. We’ve since separated the Playground matchmaker from the one that affects the default modes and made large improvements to assist with the number of players. We plan to push these changes and improvements live later today to bring the Playground LTM back online.

Like literally. They added dual pistols which were suggested like 4 days ago. They added playground. They made the Battlehound outfit's cape a back bling. They made capes for venturion and his girl version. We now get to build where we want.

We gotta give it to them. They are awesome!!!

Final Fight deserves to be Vaulted/Deleted & Forgotten

This is without question the worst limited-time mode I have ever played. It is so ridiculous spending the entire beginning of the game farming mats and maybe running into one or two people only to watch your entire team die to the storm or another team that also dies to the storm while fighting your team.

On the regular I am routinely making it to the final Zone after running for a majority of the game only to get teamed on by literally 10 to 12 people by myself.

It is absolutely not fun.

Everything about this LTM is a bad concept. I am so ready for it to be gone because the few times I have brought my self to play it I have absolutely hated it.

I can't believe we have no other LTMS active while this trash is active.

Guns need to be removed

Guns are being way too overpowered. If this game wants to continue to thrive, EPIC Games must remove guns from play and just focus on the building aspect of the game. You can still kill people with pickaxes, C4's, Impulse Grenades, and by outplaying your opponent by being the better builder.

The biggest issue with the XP grind is how you're not rewarded for high kills.

Honestly, XP for kills is the biggest thing that is inconsistent and it's super annoying.

Not too long ago I jump on teams of 20 land far away, slay out and my team won. I got 90 XP for 17 kills total (counting the 50xp for the first kill so 40xp for 16 kills) Let that sink in, I got 2.5 xp per kill after the first one. Someone on my team with 1 kill that survived to the end got 40 xp less than me while I had 16 more kills.

Kills for XP needs a buff and I haven't come across anyone yet that disagrees with it.

LTM idea: Army of the dead

Solo game mode where if you kill a player he gets knocked, after which you can revive him and he becomes part of your "death army". He cannot hurt you or other players inside your army, He can however knock other players and revive them making them part of his army under your command. This will create a pyramid team structure of dead players.

• If the head of the pyramid gets killed the whole army dies.
• Players that get killed after already being revived get killed instantly.
• kills by players under your command give you special kill credit.
• Killing in early game will become key to getting victory while also leaving lots of players late game.

Just tough this could be another fun and chaotic game mode.

There is no better time to implement Kill Count next to team member names.

With the success of the Friday Fortnite tournaments, I honestly think Epic need to look into implementing kill count next to the team member names like this (Unsure who made the image to credit so please let me know if you see this and I will credit).

I'm absolutely loving tuning in to the tournament each week even with me residing in Europe so it runs into the early hours of the morning. The most interesting and tense games are the ones where the kills are ridiculously close coming to the end of the game, it would only add to this if the kill count was implemented. With it showing this way we can all keep track of the kills for each team ourselves rather than every 10 minutes or so the streamer adding the kills up as quickly as possible which sometimes results in incorrect calculations.

I know this has been suggested before and probably multiple times, however I think there is no more fitting time to bring it back to Epics attention. Fortnite doesn't necessarily lend itself easily to being an esport or spectator sport, it's easy to miss action with it taking place sparsely across the map and multiple members of the team fighting at the same time, I think any easy implementations to heighten the viewer experience is a huge win for all involved.

Epic after the announcement that they were nerfing materials... They seem to be straying away from the key mechanics of the game in order to appeal to the new players. My interpretation of the nerf is that they want to make it less of a skill based game so that the newer players have it easier.

Thoughts of a day one player on Epic's statement

So the recent statement of Epic regarding building, materials and weapon balance seems to freak out almost the whole playerbase. While I do agree with everyone saying that building is the key element of the game, at the same time I don't understand their outcry.

Resource caps: Epic mentioned resource caps in their post, which seems to be a religious sin to some players. But I do actually think this could be a good change. First of all everyone is ranting about the material gain. Why do we have to farm for 5-10 minutes straight at the beginning of the game? Because everyone else will have like 1000 mats and you just have to have the same amount. As a good builder I feel uncomfortable without at least 700 wood plus some brick or metal. But just because I know my next opponent could have a similar amount and I most probably need that amount for being able to pull off at least two fights.

When resources are capped to let's say 500 each BUT you'll have increased resource gain, that means two things: First you have to farm far less materials to compete with opponents and you gain your max value of mats way faster after a fight. Second you have to actually think about what you build and cannot turbo build 1000 mats and still have 1000 in reserve. You have to build smart and not only turbo build like a hamster on crack. Also turtling will be nerfed by this, which is a good thing too, because it's becoming really annoying these days.

Weapon balance/shotguns: What exactly is wrong about this? Who wants to truthfully tell me that there exists anything other than shotguns in the current state of the game? Who wants to tell me that double shotgun is not the go to/must have setup? The weapon balance in Fortnite is average at best right now. Epic is right when they say that shotgun-buildfights should not be the only viable playstyle. I have 2000+ games and 500+ wins total on console and pc and I'm getting tired of building towards my opponents, shotgunning them and then going on. The weapon arsenal of Fortnite is huge, maybe the biggest of all br's and the possibilities with traps and nades are even bigger, so why should we all be forced to only play shotgun build-offs? Why should I not be able to do all? Shotgunning, AR fights, snipe fights and explosive throwing depending on the situation and everything is useful, equally effective and makes fun? Why should I be forced to not even pick pistols up most of the time, because they are nothing compared to shotguns at close range?

They didn't even say that shotguns will be nerfed even more, which I - to be clear - hardly disagree with. But there are certain things that need to change: double shotgunning should not be a thing anymore. It should come with a clear downside other than "you have to sacrifice an item slot though". Ar's need a serious buff or rework at this point. I think we need to get rid of bloom and implement recoil patterns, to finally make them viable again. At this point everyone know's how to build cover, so you should at least be able to hit your shots when you fire at someone and your crosshair is on them constantly. IF double shotgunning is fixed somehow (I don't have a final solution here), the pump shotgun should get rid of the swap delay, to make it more viable again.

Conclusion: So let's be real here. FSA was added and half the community lost their shit, because you could now laser people across half the map. Overreaction. Nothing happened, nobody complains about it now. The weapon swap delay was added and a huge shitstorm was going on and people claimed the game would die soon and all this shit. Nobody even cares right now. Floor loot materials and chest materials + Llamas got a nerf, which also scared me at first. But when you actually feel the difference, that only tells me that you're dependant of floor mats and haven't harvested before. Because after two weeks I can't tell the difference. And for the Llama nerf I think it sucks, because when you find one of those rare beautiful creatures it should be a huge celebration. But it's not game breaking now that they lost 900 mats, at least not for me, because I didn't find them every game. Not even every tenth, so I don't actually care if in say 29 of 30 games my opponents don't have a 1500 mat advantage. Now another change is coming, a change that definitely needs us to adapt and to get used to, but you know what? Nothing will happen. The game won't die. It will still be a building game and it will still be Fortnite, the most played game on the planet, the game that has 125 million players, like no other game on planet earth.

Balance changes are always frightening, because they force us to leave our comfort zone but in the end they are needed and they are healthy for the game and the variety of possible playstyles. Why should playing a sniper only be viable in sniper shootout? Why should being sneaky only be viable in sneaky silencers? Why should a fetish for explosives not also be a viable but balanced playstyle?

Let Epic experiment with their game, they haven't had many wrong decisions until now, that's why they grew a f2p game to the biggest brand on the planet, to a pop culture rather than just a game. And if everything goes wrong, you should all know by now, that they also revert poor decisions if needed.

We'll see what the future brings, I'm hyped for the upcoming changes and for seeing the game moving forward from just one playstyle.

TL;DR: Epic knows what they're doing and they'll revert it if they're completely wrong. A change to building and materials as well as the weapon balance is needed for the game to still feel fresh in several years. There shouldn't only be one playstyle and it's not toxic for the game to move on. Also Fortnite won't die because of this.

Edit 3: The resource gain increase was just an assumption. We can't know how or if Epic is compensating for the material cap. I'm just sure that they know what they're doing and I'm sure they can identify that a combination of low mat caps and low resource gain is not an option. But like I said, just an assumption.

So tfue was recently banned for supposedly “using exploits” on stream. He was mainly “Wall hopping” in the middle of fights which is basically where you place a wall edit a window then jump through it. If you check fortnite tracker his account isn’t listed on there anymore. Changes to Final Fight: Teams of 20 LTM

Hey there,

 

We’ve made some changes to the Storm timings for the Final Fight: Teams of 20 Limited Time Mode:

Circle 1

• Time before the Storm starts closing in from 240s to 180s.
• Time for Storm to fully close in from 60s to 90s.
• Circle size from 120,000 units to 100,000 units.

Circle 2

• Circle size from 80,000 units to 65,000 units.

Circle 3

• Unchanged.

 

In addition, we fixed some cases where circles would unintentionally bias to the edge rather than the center of the remaining area.

 

The goal behind this is to speed up the pace of the early game to allow for more engaging battles as well as smooth out the transition of large circles to small ones. Please continue to give us your feedback on any of our social channels.

[Unpopular Opinion] I think EPIC should give us free stuff.

I think the best way for EPIC to keep the game fresh is by letting us get Skull Trooper or Red Knight for free. This is 100% not because I want it, it just makes good business sense. If you disagree then youre a virgin loser with a tiny weiner.

Also, the game is too RNG based, because I lose a lot and its obviously not me. We need to remove bloom and copy every single mechanic from PUBG so I don't have to face the fact that I cant build or aim. Speaking of building, the material nerf is fine so stop whining, otherwise I might have to learn to build.

Lastly, I think the best thing to do to fix the game is to give me level 80 because I dont want to grind for it and it feels bad that someone has something I dont. Instead of having basic adult coping skills, EPIC needs to cater to my thinly veiled tantrum and childish demands for free stuff.

Taking a big break after lvl 80

The XP grind has been really exhausting this season and took away a lot of the fun and replaced it with stress.

I cant play as much as some people so I’m forcing in hours extra of playtime even when I’m really tired just to keep up. Playing this tired is horrible as I’m so much less effective in my thinking and reactions so i just end up getting salty but i cant stop playing if i want to make it to lvl 80.

Ultimately this season’s grind is just burning me out and I’m finding myself resenting this game instead loving it like i used to.

Anyone else feel like this?

Can we agree to stop buying V-Bucks on PS4?

After reading the comment from the Ex-Sony Exec stating the crossplay is disabled because they don't want someone who bought V-Bucks on Xbox to play on PS4, we should just stop buying V-Bucks on PS4 to stick it to them. Just buy whatever you want on your phone or computer, if we make a big enough impact it could end up changing things on Sony's stance.

15 Critical Bugs That Need To Be Prioritized

1) Aim assist still active on dead/downed players

2) Ghost shots that do no damage: basic game code principle, if the animation is possible than the activity should also be possible. If the gun is not ready to shoot than simply make the animation longer and disallow the gun from shooting until ready. A good method to use here would be faded out crosshairs to indicate an unready weapon.

3) Double fall damage bug: make fall damage based on height not velocity, with a special case for sliding down mountains.

4) Builder Pro Bugs and building bugs in general such as walls trying to build in the air in front of you when you are in a 1x1, build type switch delay forcing you to double or triple press the trigger you need etc..

5) Traps/launchpads/campfires switching by themselves to traps if you select them too quickly

6) Traps damaging players through structures such as ramps and ceilings of houses

7) Traps needs to be looked at: 150 damage + instant activation is overkill

8) C4 needs to be nerfed

9) Shotgun pellet pattern and consistency needs to be reworked

10) Dedicated edit button for console since holding down a button is cumbersome and time consuming

11) Phasing through walls needs to be relooked at. If people get under map because of it then fix that issue but not at the expense of ruining another aspect of the game such as building.

12) Pickaxe pullout delay should not be a thing. Once again because of speed farming exploit, the devs decide to quick fix it by delaying pickaxe pullout as a whole. Btw you can still speed farm so it didn’t work.

13) Players getting under the map in tilted with shopping carts.

14) Walls building in ground and inside of mountains. This shouldn’t happen. It might take work to fix but it can be fixed. The sub-terrain should be set at <5% depth of any natural structure earth/mountain/lake and the structure being built should be placed within that 5% depth threshold. This would also fix players getting underneath the map if developed correctly.

15) Feel free to add anything I may have missed or to provide feedback/support of your own.

I've been playing since pre season 1....

I've been playing since pre season 1 and i still love this game, but with Epic legit nerfing everything i'm starting to get a bit worried on where they plan to take this game.

The Pump and Tac didn't need the nerf they where fine, but also why did you change the material gain in a game that's all about building.

Now we can only take 12 rockets? that's stupid, if you wanted to nerf RPG/Nade launcher spam then make the Legendary only and put them exclusively in Supply Drops,

I remember checking this sub reddit everyday with people suggesting things and Epic would respond to a lot of them, now i they usually only respond to people who make a "good" plays.

This will probably get down voted to shit but at this point to not get my post deleted by the mods is a blessing.

As the title says, i think i found something really big regarding season 4 or even 5.

Let me explain. At tier 97 of the current Battle Pass, you unlock an emoticion called "celebration". It shows some kind of mexican dude (at least thats what it looks like to me.). And at tier 87 you unlock the "squad leader". If you look at the skin or his concept art loading screen, you can see that he has a tatoo, to me it looks like an incan symbol. As we know from season 3, emoticons and stuff might tease the next season. (In season 2 there is even a gas mask player icon--hint at the new skin?). So i decided to do a bit of research.

I looked at the german wikipedia article about incans.(I am austrian btw). And the more i read, the more stuff i found out. I have used google translator to show you the most important parts:

It should take less time to be revived if you are getting reviver by more than 1 teammate

This makes i more important to stick together when playing squads and also forces you to be more strategic when in a battle

e.g it could take 8 seconds when 2 players is reviving you

XP for Revives!

I think adding XP for revives is a great way of promoting revives in team modes. Not being revived is a really big problem in these modes and is one of things that ruins them.

Edit: to prevent team killing, suggested by /u/airgrecko it could be made that revives only give XP when downed by an enemy.

Epic farming = boring

Let's be honest, the people who don't want the mats buffed are the same people who can't keep up with the ever changing natural meta. The longer the game is out, the better players get at building, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out, hell go and watch any top tier player right now, they go through hundreds of mats every fight. The game is literally called 'Fortnite' you're supposed to build so that you are advantageous in competitive scenarios how are you supposed to do that when Epic are bringing out mat nerfs? Seriously, has nobody else noticed how fights always lead into another fight and then another (If you're decent that is) and by the time you get to your second or third fight the mats have vanished.

It seems we are already getting teasers for season 5. Season 3 seemed so much more memorable. We had the guided rockets, John wick memes, death of the double pump, rebirth of the double pump.

Make Search Chest Challenges random for each player.

That way each location is viable, and not everyone is forced to drop at a location, pray they get to a chest first, and repeat for another 43 games for maybe a single chest.

Cause right now, that location is hot for 3 days after the challenge drops, then is completely dead again after.

Opinion: The “throwable emotes” are useless and take up way too much space.

Maybe in the early stages of the game they were fun for a joke or two between you and an enemy, but there’s so many now and I haven’t seen them used in game in months. Most of them don’t even make sense. They’ve become battle pass unlockables designed to fill space between dances, sprays, and skins.

I think they’re becoming remnants of Fortinite past. To me, sprays are much more interesting and can actually effect the world. Dance emotes are obviously great. But I think the throwable emotes have run their course and I would welcome anything that could take their place.

PSA: Be careful leveling your battle pass on the switch.

I played one game on my switch this morning to check it out, happened to level my battle pass and get a 100 v-bucks reward which is now locked to the switch, making it inaccessible to your main account. I now have 1800 v-bucks on pc and 100 on switch.

50v50 really needs the original +75% material gain back

One of the main reasons people loved this mode was because you hardly needed to farm; you only needed to loot, farm for maybe a minute tops, and then you could go straight into the action. Now, not only do you need to spend a considerable amount of time farming just to have a decent amount of mats, but the circle closes in faster so you have less time to do it. You also end up fighting a lot of people in this mode because of the large battles, so the +75% material gain was very necessary. People play this mode for casual fun and to avoid the large amount of farming necessary in the normal modes. I really don't understand why this was change was made and I'm pretty certain that nobody wanted this.

By doing this, we can use the upvote system to measure severity/frequency and also provide the developers with more info than simply, "Hey, this thing is not working, can you fix? Thanks." While allowing less severe/frequent bugs some more visibility instead of flooding the thread with the same bug. If you wish to report a bug and see that it's already reported, then just reply to that comment. If you have a workaround for that bug, then comment it on that post.

Epic, if you're gonna have kills matter in a competitive or tournament setting, we need to receive kills from more suicide scenarios.

Here are multiple examples where you indirectly cause someone's death, but won't get a kill for it:

• You build a wall right in front of somebody about to shoot their RPG, and it blows up in their face. Your wall caused them to die, but you don't get credit for it.

• You deal white damage to somebody who then dies from the storm.

• You deal white damage to somebody who then falls to their death (this is a major one, happens all the time in build battles).

• You deal damage to somebody, who then rage quits the game (this is more of a joke, but I had it happen to me once, lol).

In my opinion, if you've recently dealt damage to somebody who then ends up killing themselves, you should get the kill. Maybe make it white damage only for fall damage deaths or storm deaths giving kill credit, since shield damage doesn't matter in that scenario.

Rules Update

Hello r/FortniteBR

We've made some fairly substantial changes to the subreddit rules! Our subreddit is currently seeing 200,000,000 page views per month, around the likes of subreddit's with 18,000,000 subscribers! We've had a huge increase in traffic and both the game and the community are still growing at a rapid pace, and a part of our solution to remedy that was our recent addition of new moderators. We've recently launched a competitive subreddit (r/FortniteCompetitive) to allow for the competitive/esports scene to have it's own community to grow too! Last but not least, with the launch of r/FortniteBRMeta, we have seen a large amount of feedback that we have incorporated into the following rules update.

Witch Hunting has been clarified:

I'd like to highlight the following addition to the rule:

Posts on community figures and public organizations plus their employees are allowed, as long as the posts are civil and do not post personal/confidential information. Posts of clickbait social media titles are not allowed.

We have seen some community figures come under light, and the team has decided that if they chose to put their name out there as a community figure, it is not witch hunting to point out something in a civil manner. We will continue to monitor this and see how it progresses as the community and competitive scene continue to grow.

Posts Should Be High Quality And Encourage Discussion

We want /r/FortniteBR to be the best source of discussion for the game online - and to do that we have to ensure that quality content isn’t drowned out by low effort or low-quality submissions. Content must be related to Fortnite. If your post contains a suggestion for the game, it must contain Fortnite elements.

We have done some significant changes to this section of the rules, this one included. We want to make what we consider relevant to Fortnite more clear, and have included specific guidelines in this rule, if you'd like to see, feel free to review the full rules page. If a post uses Fortnite elements (in game assets, similar looking style inspired by Fortnite, etc.) and is a proper, high quality original post, it is what we are looking for.

Frequently Posted Topics

Please use the search before posting about something. Topics that become excessive and or redundant due to being posted with an abnormal frequency are subject to removal. “Breaking news” style topics are included in this. We will only allow one thread per topic, with Epic and Moderator threads taking priority.

We are introducing a new wiki page, called Epic Plz, this page will be a list of everything that the community has overwhelmingly posted in support of, be it any type of change. It will hopefully be a resource for everyone who visits our subreddit. If something is posted there, it will not be allowed without a new development or in depth assessment that approaches the topic from a new angle. It is not strictly forbidden, but keep in mind that a typical "epic plz" post in this wiki has already seen it's own plethora of discussion.

This is also where we are moving duplicate topics into, Epic and Moderator topics regarding "big hits" will take priority, but the first well written post will be the one that stays. Nothing is changing regarding our stance on duplicate topics, we want to keep the subreddit free of reposts.

Low-Effort/Low-Quality Humor Is Not Allowed.

We all enjoy a good laugh, especially about Fornite! We have a high standard for humor; attempts at humor need to have some effort put into them so that the community can find more value in discussing and developing any humor created on our subreddit.

Humor must be original/user created

• This means that all humor must be created by you, and not a template, formula or something similar. Show off your creativity!
• No low resolution, pixelated or "deep fried" images, gifs or videos.

Humor can't be simple "pastes"

• This means copy and pasting assets from Fortnite onto something non-game related is not allowed. If it took you a few minutes to make, it is likely not high quality.
• There has to be a minimal level of effort into creating something new.
  • If something was made in Paint and is noticeably done so, it is subject to removal.

Humor posts can't overly saturate the front page

• If the community is overwhelmingly jumping on board to a new meme/topic, and it becomes a trend that floods the subreddit, they are eligble to be removed as low effort/spam posts.
• If they become too commonplace as a trend they will be eligible to be removed as spam/low effort.

We wanted to approach how funny posts, memes and videos are allowed on our subreddit. We are still assessing these type of posts, but want to clarify this and separate our low quality posts from what we seek out of humor, this should hopefully make the rules a bit more clear on what type of meme-esque posts, and "bandwagon" joke posts we allow. These rules largely speak for themselves, but we would love to hear your feedback regarding it!

Promotion & Give-A-Ways

We have clarified our stance on give-a-ways and promotional content, this is to help improve the experience for everyone and prevent individuals from using the subreddit as an avenue merely for promotional content.

"It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a website, it's not okay to be a website with a reddit account." - Confucius.

That inspirational and highly relevant quote was ripped straight from reddit's self-promotion wiki page. It's well worth a read. In order keep the subreddit free of advertisement, we enforce a strict 10:1 rule which states:

For every one promotional or giveaway post you submit, 10 high-quality comments or submissions should be non-promotional. High-quality comments must provide a meaningful response and may not be on your own posts.

All promotion posts must abide by our low-quality rules (No clickbait, no all caps titles, etc.)

Read our promotion wiki page to find out what we consider promotional content.

You also may also only make one promotional post every 3 days and any giveaway must be approved by the moderation team ahead of time.

Other small notes

We've made wording changes, clarifications all around the ruleset. None remaining should be too impactful. Feel free to review them at any time.
