I dropped 100 Matches in a Row at Moisty Mire, Here are the results

Ever wonder just how well you perform from a specific location on the map? Well I'm an average player on a mission to find out more.

I played 100 Solo Matches in a row dropping at the Moisty Mire and recorded additional statistics.

EDIT: To clarify, If you see a weapon in a column in which I won the match, It was the weapon I used to win the game with(I was not killed that game)

Here are my results:

22 Wins

2.05 KD Ratio

41 Top 3 Finishes

13.74 Average Finish

Other players landed at Moisty 66% of the time

The first circle landed within the Moisty Mire 20% of the time

7 Trap Kills

5 Llamas found

I landed specifically at that far back cabin in the SE corner 88% of the time

I was killed 78 times by:

46% Shotgun (36 times)

18% AR (Scar,Burst, Regular, 14 times)

12% Rockets (Two times I killed myself, 9 times)

8% Snipe (6 times)

5% Grenade Launcher (4 times)

4% SMG (3 times)

3% Storm (2 times)

1% Trap (1 time)

1% Pistol (1 time)

1% LMG (1 time)

1% Fall Death (1 time)

Time of day irl I played:

63% Morning

14% Day

23% Night

I started this on 4/20/18 and Completed it on 5/27/18.

Season 3 and Season 4 Map Change

Season 4 started 43 games into this process and the Moisty Mire changed dramatically with the addition of the Movie Set.

This caused a 25% spike in players landing at Moisty, but otherwise my KD and Win rate wasn't changed much. Surprisingly they slightly improved.

Season 3: 21% Win Rate, KD 2.0, 53.4% Other Players Landing at Moisty

Season 4: 23% Win Rate, KD 2.1, 75.4% Other Players Landing at Moisty

A few notes and conclusions: It's important to note I'm on PS4, I'm sorry master race if this taints the data pool. I only counted standard solo matches, no LTM's. No Thanos Dubs.

I was actually surprised I was able to get to a 22% win rate. My pal put the over/under at 19.5 based on his estimation of how well I was playing at the time. I reached 20 wins around game 90... Pressure was mounting to beat that 19.5 mark.

I'm an 11% win rate lifetime across all modes with 363 Wins and a 1.56 KD. I'm an ok player, but, I'm no Ninja or Daequan. 22% win rate seemed like an impossibility only a few months ago.

"The Excuse Log" I found tracking these stats and setting a win goal extremely useful in improving my gameplay over time. I made notes why I died (or won) along the way. This is now known as the excuse log by my buddies. THIS WAS SO USEFUL. It allowed me to rethink my mechanics and strats and late game. Asking myself why I died and recording it may be the most useful thing I found in all of this. For me, I found I gave up my high ground or pushed in terrible spots way too much.

My Jerry Springer Final Thoughts When I started this game at around Thanksgiving in season 1, I WAS VERY VERY VERY BAD. I played shooters my whole life, Halo, BF, COD, but the building and strategy in this game just took time to learn. I'd say I didn't feel "good" until season 3 or about 1200 games played. If you're looking to improve, playing a lot of games and watching a lot of streamers I think is the best way to get better. If you're not seeing improvements fast enough, something like this might help. There are reasons for why you lost other than just being outplayed. Decisions making in this game can beat better shooting mechanics at a high rate.

I'm going to play my next 100 matches at Tilted Towers.

TLDR: I played 100 matches at Moisty Mire and Learned some stuff. gg.

Remove the hitbox of leaves

Title speaks for the thread, it is so frustrating when you get into a build battle only to get blocked by some leaves. The hitmarkers do not even show up on them so it takes a lot of time to break them.

Petition to extend the refund system (re-releasing on June 1st) to 70 days

Back when the refund system was added, we were able to refund our accidental purchases (within 30 days) for an equal amount of v-bucks with 3 lifetime purchases. But since then it has been removed due to exploits that players found, and they waited more than a month to bring it back to us. I think that it is right of them to extend the refund system to be able to refund items purchased within 70 days (even if this is temporary). We have done some crazy stuff like this on Reddit before, and we can do it again.

Whenever they released the refund skin option in game I was so excited, until an hour later it got removed. So what I’m saying is that the first refund should be over the 30 day limit so we can refund our skins that went past the time limit.

Someone was so extra, they invited me to a party before they killed me.

I don't normally post things like this, but someone did something so insane that I had to share it. I was just in a shotgun fight in front of dog house in pleasant park, and I barely won. I was using a medkit next to the bushes in the front, and I get a party invite. I join, and it's a guy, probably college aged. I hear him say "You're about to get sniped." Not even a second later, I was sniped in the head. I'm pretty sure tha guy waited until I killed someone to find my gamertag. To the person who did this, well played.

EDIT: I realize how unbelieveable this sounds. I wish I had proof, but I don't.

Suggestion : Make Slurp Juice more valuable.

Small shield drop (x3) = 50 shield immediately if at 0 shields / 75 total value

Big shield drop (1x) = 50 shield anytime / 50 total value

Slurp Juice drop (1x) = 25 health + 25 shield anytime / 50 total value

I've always felt like the slurp was a bit underwhelming compared to its lesser healing drops in terms of rarity. With Slurp being an epic drop, I always felt it could be a bit more valuable as well as maybe being an option to carry to fights as opposed to the much widely used small shields. A way I could see this being more balanced would be to have the slurp drops be in stacks of 2, and increase their carry maximum to 4.

To add to its value it could also be used twice to double the tick effect from 1 health/shield per tick to 2, making it quicker to heal up giving it more value to hold for battle

The stats for these changes would essentially be :

Slurp Juice drop (2x) 50 health + 50 shields anytime / 100 total value

LTMs will come and go, but 50v50 should stay. It really doesn't feel like a LTM at all, for us it's already the fourth game mode after Solos, Duos and Squads.

Please make 50v50 permanent!

I was pretty worried it would go off today, but glad it hasn't (yet). A lot of people want it to be permanent as well because of its fun and flexible nature. It's honestly so much fun, I don't enjoy how tense the other modes can get. A great mode to practise, to introduce new players to the game, as well as to get high kill counts and improvise, chill out or play seriously and go headfirst into enemy territory.

Epic, can you please make it permanent?

Simple Sniper Guide (How to hit headshot every time)

Scoped weapons in Fortnite have 8 lines (4 big and small ones) in the sight, but you only need to use 3 lines because of how the bullet drop works. I have a simple trick on how to hit headshots every time no matter what distance:

0-50 meters = Crosshair straight to the head

75 meters = Aim first line on the neck

100 meters and up = Aim third line on the hips

If you don't know how to tell distance, you can do it with the scope. Start by aiming the middle of the crosshair just on top of your target's head and see how many lines fit inside the player model:

0-50 meters = 8 lines

75 meters = 6,5 lines

100 meters = 4,5 lines

150 meters = 3 lines

200 meters = 2,5 lines

250 meters = 2 lines

TLDR; In close fights you don't need to worry about bullet drop. Adjust slightly above the head for 75 meters. For longer distances (100m and above) you just need to aim the 3rd line on the nuts and you'll get a headshot!

How I learnt to build well - may be of use to you.

I just started dropping at the edge of Wailing Woods (Tomato Town-side), and farmed at least 500+ wood, and at least 500+ stone from the small hill nearby, then went off into the game with no weapons. (Anywhere really would work, just lots of materials here and not a popular spot)

That's the key here - no weapons. Keep farming stuff until you find someone, let them start playing aggressive on you, then build your way to safety. Since you don't have the option to shoot them on the ground, you're forced to outbuild them - make your goal to waste their materials, as well as their time. If they die in the storm with you, even better (or maybe i'm just a bad person).

This is surprisingly fun, and really effective at building up your skills. It only took me about 10 games of doing this to noticeably increase my building speed and efficiency, and I still even now throw in a game like this every once in a while - it's genuinely fun, and you can get some funny kills from editing people out so they drop, and sometimes people will just fall on their own which is pretty hilarious as well.

This really helped because while I was a mid-level player, I found that i'd either kill people on the ground using hardly any building, or i'd get immediately outbuilt and killed within 10 seconds. There weren't many opportunities to practise build battles against evenly skilled players. By having no offensive options or guns, your only focus is on getting that high ground. Since other players are looking for shots on you while that's happening, their pure build speed is hampered, and your pure build speed is quicker than if you were trying to shoot at the same time, if that makes sense. It evens up skill differences in building a fair bit.

Hope this can help at least someone out there, it really did work for me!

Hunting Rifle on Console

I love this gun and all, but the massive amount of aim assist it has on console makes it very frustrating to use. Once you ads with it, it’s virtually impossible to lead/change your shot in any way. Why not make it like a bolt/semi to where it has no aim assist? Please upvote for visibility, this gun has the ability to be great on console as it is on pc, but not being able to aim with it is frustrating as hell, thanks

Hi Everyone!

It is that time again. As traffic continues to increase everyday to the sub, the need for more moderation becomes greater. The increase in traffic creates an increase of posts and comments that create an unhealthy environment for the subreddit.

In terms of subscriber count, as of this post we are at 617,952. We have recently passed other big game subs such as /r/wow and /r/PUBattlegrounds.

We average approximately 5 Million page views per day with about 600k of those being unique

We continue to average at least 4k new subscribers each day

What are we looking for?

Last time we put out applications, we had about 900 applicants to sort through. We are really looking for people who stand out and meet the following criteria:

• DON'T MIND BEING A ROBOT. We are looking for people who do not mind doing menial and repetitive work. We are looking for those who can assist and go through the modqueue and unmoderated posts on a consistent basis.

• Any time zone and availability. We do want as much flexibility as possible. There are 2 key times we are looking at to cover

  • 4:00 AM EST / 8:00 AM GMT (To help with patch downtime and when the game comes back online)
  • 8:00 PM EST / 12:00 AM GMT (To help during shop reset madness and when our new favorite skins come)

• Over the age of 18. Due to some of the language and links we see, we ask that all applicants be over the age of 18.

• Love Fortnite: Battle Royale

• CSS experience while not required, is a plus.

If you're dumb enough to walk in to a trap, you deserve to lose 125 health.

Patch notes say damage traps have been reduced to 75 damage.. that's a pretty big nerf.

If you walk in to a trap, it should hurt. You won't even be able to kill someone with no shield anymore. Make damage traps great again.

Finishing knocked players.

There’s multiple posts everyday on here of people complaining about being finished after they’re knocked. IT’S. A. PART. OF. THE. GAME. Grow up and get good at the game.

Yes it’s frustrating, but why would you want to give the enemies a chance to revive their teammates and give them a better chance of killing you. I’m prepared for the downvotes, I just thought this needed to be said for all of the people who think they deserve to left alone after someone knocks them.

If you don’t like it then either get better at the game or just don’t play it, don’t hate on other people just because they outplayed you.

50v50 V2 - Storm Dmg Adjustment

Hey Folks,

The last time 50v50 was available we made an adjustment to the storm damage that didn’t make it into this current version. However, we just released a hotfix that enables this change again.

⛈️The storm will now deal 10 damage per tick for all ring phases. This change was made to improve gameplay flow - we noticed that a high number of matches were resolving with a team healing while in the Storm, rather than resolving due to the normal pace of combat.⛈️

I was having a nice day about a week ago and decided to check my emails when I saw a gut wrenching message from Epic stating "Thanks for your Purchase of 3,500 VBucks", I did not make this purchase so I decided to check my bank account. Surely enough, 100 USD had been stolen from my account. I INSTANTLY cancelled my card and requested a new one. After setting up an investigation with my Bank, I decided to check my account purchase history in Fortnite, apparently whoever hacked the account has been attempting to buy Limited Editions, Vbucks... Anything they can over the last month!

For the past few months I've been living on an extremely tight budget, so you can see that they failed to make transactions during March due to insufficient funds. But more recently, they succeeded after i received some pay! I'm scared nobody will believe me, but it wouldn't make sense for me to buy everything in the game, and then try to buy more! Why would I do that?! Why would anyone do that?! I've never given my password to anyone or any website claiming to distribute "Free V-Bucks" either.

Epic PLEASE remove the "Remember credit card details" option from your in-game store, I've read so many other posts today from other people who have been hacked the same way. I have now set up 2 factor authentication so that this never happens to me again.

I beg you to help me. I can't even afford gas after this tragedy and I need help. please. :(

Also here's a link to the EULA, there is no mention here of 2 factor authentication despite people telling me that they require accounts to be set up with it. @EPIC How do you recreate emotes to add them ingame?

How do you guys do it? Motion Capture? And how long does it actually take?

Been wondering this lately because the details are abnormally good.

Did you get the orange shirt guy to recreate it for you during motion capture?

Or do you have a special kind of staff that learns and recreates it for you in motion capture?

Or could it be that no motion capture was even used?

One more thing. Could behind the scenes at Epic headquarters be a thing? I for myself would love to know more about how you guys got to create such an amazing game.

Death Animations for Legendary Skins

Just an idea I've been brainstorming about. What if each legendary skin had its own death animation to go with it as another incentive for the $20 price tag. I know some will say this may raise the price but we got back bling added with no rise in cost. Here are a couple examples that I thought of:

Leviathan: Fish tank breaks & the water begins to drain out of the helmet causing the fish to flop around.

Raven: A purple cloud with ravens and feather surrounds the player then disappears.

Omega: The player presses a button and an orange beam of light teleports the player away, leaving the villain logo on the ground for a few seconds.

Carbide: The player presses a button and a blue beam of light teleports the player away, leaving the hero logo on the ground for a few seconds.

Rex/Tricera Ops: A mini asteroid hits the player and when the smoke clears the player is gone.

Dark Voyager/Dark Vangaurd: Receives incoming transmission and zaps away.

Battle Hound: Howls and raises a sword before being teleported away.

Love Ranger: Receives a halo and flies away.

Wukong: Hops on a flying nimbus and shoots up into the sky.

Raptor/Havoc: Pulls out a white flag of surrender/ a Twitch Prime flag and waves it in defeat.

John Wick: Pulls out his dog before being teleported away.

I realize most if not all of these are stretching it and this is more of a fun idea I was thinking about rather than a serious suggestion. Either way thanks for the read and lemme know what you think.

Infinity Gauntlet - Thanos Changes

Heya folks,

We’ve just pushed a hotfix that will make the following changes to Thanos in the new Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup:

• Shield cap decreased from 300 to 200.
• Max Health increased from 700 to 800.
• Laser damage vs. players decreased from 15 to 12.

We’re going to continue monitoring feedback.

EPIC, can you please fix Battle Hound

Please don’t just downvote this since you don’t have Battle Hound and it doesn’t apply to you. Help a brother out!

Like many others, I bought the Battle Hound when it initially released and was very excited. However, after seeing the cape was not a separate back bling, I was a little disappointed but not to the point where I regretted purchasing the skin. The big issue with the skin now is that the cape interferes with EVERY other back bling that you try to equip on the Battle Hound. So after spending 2000 Vbucks on a skin, not only does it not have its own back bling (small problem), but you cannot equip another back bling onto it (big problem) without it looking stupid since the cape clips through whichever back bling.

My ideal fix for this would be to have the cape have an on/off function. It could work like Carbide’s “Change Style” on the outfit selection screen. Where you can either use the cape or not, since Carbide has this option for his armor. This would then allow you to use another back bling on the Battle Hound. I don’t expect EPIC to allow the cape to be used on other skins since it has some details on the chest of Battle Hound. My dream scenario would be to re model the cape to take away the front parts of it so that it could act as a back bling for all skins, but that might be too much to ask.

If this post doesn’t get attention I’ll do a mock up of what I’m talking about in hope that it may get more traction.

TLDR; Battle Hound cape is broke, please fix!

Something huge is going to happen..... (long post)

If you thought the comet was huge, something even bigger is coming. Let’s get started...

There was two “teams” introduced this season. the heroes and the villains. Each team has a base of operations. The villains a have a missile silo in the west near Snobby and the heroes have a mansion in the east most point of the map. People have speculated that there will be a capture the flag game mode between these locations.

The main point to note is the fact there is a massive missile in the missile silo (shocker, I know). Just why is there a massive missile? There would be no reason for it unless it launched.

However, I think that this is actually a rocket used for launching things into space. There was a video datamined which showed a UFO launching from Earth and flying to Mars. New map?

The next big thing is the “comet”. I don’t think that this is a comet because it pulsates light. It is also reminiscent of a scene from the movie Godzilla. this sums it up pretty well. Another thing to note is that the reward from week 1 of the blockbuster challenge is titled “the monster of moisty mire ”.

Going off of a datamined image of the week 2 reward for blockbuster (it is the omega skin breaking out of the prison with the description being something along the lines of “I’m going to gather a team/my allies”) I think that the villains are going to hatch the “egg” and use it to destroy places on the map. This ties into the leak we got in season 3 that the map is going to be constantly changing. What if each week, 2 weeks or however long, the “monster” destroys somewhere and it gets rebuilt differently?

In conclusion, things are going to go down. There are so many possibilities and I just hope it gets executed well.
