What is Extra Life?
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $40 million for sick and injured kids. It is a 24-hour gaming marathon to raise funds and awareness for these kids across U.S and Canada. The donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care.
Year 1 Review
Last Year, Extra Life was a huge success. We raised $4272.75 last year between the subreddits for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center, located near Epic Games’ studio. We partnered with various streamers to give away a ton of Save The World Game Keys, as well as this awesome smasher statue. We are looking to step it up and smash last year's amount, with a goal of $50,000!

Extra Life will take place Saturday November 3, 2018 over a 24-hour period from Midnight to Midnight Eastern Standard Time
Join Team Fortnite
This year, we are continuing our support for Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. We are looking for a team of players to sign-up for specific hours to stream Fortnite: Save The World & Fortnite: Battle Royale. You don’t need to stream the whole 24 hours. Anyone can join the team and anyone can stream.
Featured Streamers & Requirements:
Like last year, we will be looking to fill our 24 hour schedule with Featured Streamers. These streamers will have their stream advertised on the front page in a sticky during the event, and will also have the opportunity to give away a STW game key to their viewers! Requirements to be a featured streamer are:

Must have been streaming on a consistent schedule for the past 60 days. We will be reviewing history.

Twitch Partner / YouTube Partner (While it is not a requirement, being a Twitch/YouTube Partner is highly preferred)

Stream must be kept as PG as possible (no adult content, NSFW content, or excess language)

How to Win
For every $5 USD donated to the team between now and 11/4, 12:00am EST, you will receive 1 entry into the drawing. The drawing will be recorded and posted with the winners approximately 1 week after the event ends. We will be reaching out to the winners no later than November 14th and they must confirm response within 48 hours of being contacted or the prize will be forfeited and redrawn. Contact will be made through the email provided when donating to Extra Life. All prizes with the exception of the Save The World Game Codes will be in this drawing. The game codes will be given away throughout the event by the featured streamers.
You may only win a donated prize one time. The Save The World game codes do not count toward this limit. Additionally, in the event a winner is chosen and they do not meet the delivery requirements of a prize they won, we will first work with them to attempt to have the prize shipped to a valid delivery address. We will make every attempt to work with them to get them their prize. If no conclusion can be reached, the prize will be forfeited and redrawn. Unfortunately, with the nature of this drawing and complexity involved, this is the best option. Additionally, all winners must be comfortable sharing their shipping address with a moderator.
Event Discord
Our subreddit Discord will have specific channels and benefits for those who choose to donate and participate in our community Extra Life event. We can verify everyone who has a linked Reddit account to their Discord on both platforms at once if you choose to use this Discord.
You may also post any questions you may have in the comments below. Additionally, all other questions and further discussion on Extra Life, news, and future community events will be in the Discord. Verified donors will receive a custom tag on our Discord Server.
