No Epic is not in financial trouble and no Fortnite is not dying

There is so many people on the sub thinking that Fortnite is dying and that Epic is kicking out people because they can't afford to pay them. That is not what's happening.

Let's take a look at the net worth of Epic CEO.

In 2019 the net worth of Tim Sweeney, aka the big CEO was $2 billion In 2020 $4.5 billion Later in 2021 $4.7 billion And the latest revenue report $7.6 billion according to Forbes.

Do you really think that they are laying off people because they can't pay them? Valuation of Epic Games went from $4 billion in 2018 to $32 billion in Q4 2022. (Source Statista)

Not only that they have several dozen of ,assive investments, acquisitions and other stuff like Epic store, Unreal Engine carrying them even higher. They aren't in trouble.

It's the same as what I experienced when I was laid off recently. Top management is cutting off people that aren't absolutely critical for the company and moving their share of work to others in the company, putting additional load on them and overworking them further. If you ever worked in such industry, you'll know exactly what I mean.

So to sum it up, no your beloved game is not going to die tomorrow. No Epic doesn't need donations to stay alive. And yes, Peely is still the most awesome banana put there.
