I win about 5% of my matches. Why am I being matched with the top 1% of players?

Im going to do a fair bit of complaining about the game, so please let's try and be understanding, and keep the replies respectful.

I've never been a great fortnite player, I'll be the first to admit it. So why am I being matched with Unreal ranked players, streamers like Ninja, Reverse2k, and Zemie, and other people who on average place top 25 or have a win percentage of 50%.

I have been trying to figure out why someone like me has to struggle to find any fair competition in a regular public match. It's obviously a skill issue, i get it. The issue is I dont give a damn about being able to hang with the best of them, yet the matchmaking is forcing me into the lobbies that literally have the best players.

So could someone please explain why the matchmaking is doing this? here's a look at my stats. the numbers have been on a steady decline for a LONG time. The matchmaking has been forcing me to play at my very best, every single game just to make it past the firstor second storm phases. I play duos, and most matches I dont have a teammate who will communicate with me. They dont even stay with me and sometimes they leave immediately after the bus starts. So outside of me just becoming a professional fortnite player, what can I do? I just want to relax and enjoy the game but its impossible to do that when everyone is hitting insane sniper shots, destroying all of my health with perfectly placed shotgun blasts and moving like their on ice skates.
