You guys are suddenly dying a LOT more this season or is it just me?

I've noticed that me and my friends are dying a lot these couple of days after chapter 4 season 1 came out. Do we need to git gud or you guys noticed a difference as well? Idk what it is, but the game seems harder, people seem to deal more damage to me with white weapons than I do to them using blue or purple ones.

Just for the record, we used to win 6 out of 10 matches we played throughout last season, now if we win 1 it's a surprise.
