Last night when I was playing, I ran into Lil' Whip and he said something that gave me pause. I know there are like 20 different dialogue options he loops through, but I discovered one I had never seen before. He stated he has EVERYTHING to lose and made it seem like he's being blackmailed to do something he doesn't want to do. Also, the lyrics for his Dripping Flavor song contain a couple hints that this may be the case - "I'm in danger by nature. (Watch out!)" and "Better believe he be the walk of the scene. When he be the head boss - no NPC. When he aim with an RPG, but he's got a good heart..."
This morning I tried to data mine the Fortnite game files to see if I could find his dialogue string I referenced above. I couldn't find it, but I did find a ton of Lil Whip specific asset files that don't appear to be there for other NPCs.
What do y'all think about this theory? Has the IO blackmailed Lil' Whip as a way to get back onto the island?
