I would like to propose the implementation of a deduction system for posting too much during a distribution period.
Beginning with your 26th submission, your contributor score (amount of karma you earn during a distribution period) will be deducted by 1, incrementing by 1 for each submission afterwards. Deleted and/or removed submissions do not count towards this, since karma earned from deleted/removed submissions is not counted for distributions.
EXAMPLE
Post 26: Deduction of 1
Post 27: Deduction of 2
Post 28: Deduction of 3
and so on
There is no limit to the deduction, and the deduction can bring your contributor score all the way to 0 if you spam posts.
Comments are not included in this.
Most community members do not submit more than 1 post per day, so this would only affect those who spam posts.
Summary
- Submitting more than 25 posts during a distribution period (28 days) will cost you karma, incrementing by 1 for every post you submit after 25
- Comments are not affected by this proposal
- There is no limit to the deductions, and you can bring your contributor score (amount of karma earned during the distribution period) all the way down to 0 if you post too much
- Deleted and removed posts do not count against you, since karma from these posts are not counted in distributions
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
With the passing of this previous proposal, voting in this poll will grant you a 5% karma bonus (up to 500 karma) in the next distribution. If you do not vote in this poll, you will not earn a bonus and you may earn less Brick in the next distribution.
