Thanks to feedback we have received from the community, we have the following announcements to inform you of:

ADVERTISING GUIDELINES - COMMENTS

We have recently added a new clause under the Advertisement and Giveaway Guidelines prohibiting the use of promo links in comments.

No promo links in comments (Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)

Content creators who wish to expand their reach should consider watermarking their content with their preferred platforms. Please see this section of the rules wiki for guidance on watermarking your content.

MEDIA GUIDELINES TRIALS

We have decided to run some trials to test out changes to the Media Guidelines, particularly as it relates to stock media. We have decided upon the following two trials:

• Require content containing stock media be submitted as part of a text post
• Prohibit stock media entirely

These trials will be run in the order they appear above. Each trial will last for 2 weeks, and will be followed by a feedback thread to discuss your thoughts on how each trial went.

The first trial, requiring that content containing stock media be submitted as part of a text post, has started. You can view the dedicated trial announcement for more detailed information.

We will be monitoring the impact of these changes, and will make adjustments where necessary.
