Why do Redditors hate Fortnite?

I’ve never seen a video game hated so much on this site. If you say you play Fortnite on gaming subreddits you get downvoted.

I’ve been playing video games for a long time and have found most new games now boring and uninspired. Fortnite is one of the only games doing something new. It’s not pay-to-win. You can have a great time with just a $10 Battle Pass that gives you enough vbucks get the next season free. It’s one of the few games that actually feels consumer friendly.

Also the game doesn’t take itself seriously and realizes it’s a video game. There’s no bullshit dialog and tutorials to go through. It’s pure gameplay, The game is positive, the artstyle is fun, and the graphics/gun sounds are great. The developers are also more responsive and active than any game I’ve seen.

The game is great. Reddit can go fuck itself
