I applaud your dedication to the game. I applaud your coordination and envy your skill level. Fortnite is not an easy game and it definitely takes a lot of hard work to get to the point where you can crank 5 story 90's and do a double edit one pump to the players below.
But Fortnite is not a game for just the tryhards. It's a game many of us use to escape our 50 hour work weeks. It's a game many of us want to play casually. When you go into tryhard mode in a pub you are proving absolutely nothing. Well - maybe you prove that you can't cut it in arena and you'd rather just come into pubs and pick on the less skilled.
Maybe I'll take a lesson from your book and come to the school playground and swat every one of your shots and dunk all over you. Then I'll taunt you and brag about how awesome I am because I beat someone so severely overmatched.
I don't place all of the blame on you. Epic has produced a highly addicting game with the worst matchmaking system I've ever seen in any game.
We all play this game for different reasons and like I said before - there is absolutely nothing wrong with be cracked at this game. Good for you. But maybe, just maybe - you adjust game play based on the game mode you are playing. The same way i wouldn't go balls to the wall against kids just learning to play a sport. Sure, i don't believe in letting people win but i also believe there is way to encourage competition without being a bully or without letting someone win.
Before anyone says - "why don't you work on getting better?". Well, Fortnite isn't life. It's an escape from life. I work a full time job, I'm a full time parent to a cracked Fortnite player (one that doesn't need to flex on pubs to look good), and I'm training for a marathon. I just want Fortnite to be fun, less toxic, and a fair fight. Arena is there for a reason. Go flex over there. Join is in pubs but play in a way that pubs are meant to be played.

Edit.... *I can't reply to all of the posts that disagree with me or think I'm a princess (I'm not really sure that's an insult anyway. What's wrong with being a princess?) for being annoyed with the Tryhard mentality. But those that disagree with me - you do make some valid points and i appreciate your opinions. My opinion certainly isn't the only that matters and who am I to say how you should play. And yes, if i am being fully transparent - i was intentionally poking the bear a little bit.
Do what makes you happy, at the end of the day it's just a game. A game that we all enjoy playing - even if I am getting pwnd by a superior talent. :). Anyway, thanks for reading - I'm gonna go get my ass kicked again! Good night!
