Thor ultimately forgets that the reason he is on the Fortnite map is because he is a herald of Galactus. His goal is to evacuate people on planets before Galactus consumes them.

If you haven’t read the comics, Thor is helping Galactus because an entity called the Black Winter will consume Thor’s universe. Galactus’ only chance in stopping it is consuming five planets with unimaginable power so he can stand a chance against the Black Winter.

When Thor enters Apollo, he begins to become looped and he slowly loses his memory and his perception becomes looped.

I am assuming Thor forgot that he was supposed to be helping Galactus by allowing him to devour and destroy planets to gain its energy. Thor’s original goal is to warn the people of the planet and then bifrost them to safety, but here Thor doesn’t do that. He instead calls for help and convinces the heroes to stop Galactus instead of getting the island to safety.

Because of this, in the live event (AND THIS IS ENTIRELY SPECULATION!) the heroes and the players will fight and win against Galactus. But because of this, they ultimately doom their universe and the Fortnite universe to Black Winter, heralding us into Season 5, which is most likely going to be winter themed.
