Does anyone else think that Sprays in Fortnite have been the biggest waste of development time and locker space of anything in the game...or is it just me?

In 8 seasons since they were introduced, I don’t think I’ve come across a single player made spray on the battlefield, that wasn’t part of a challenge...they have limited functionality...you can’t even decorate your base with them in STW because only 3 can be placed at a any given time...they are useless. The time spent on them since they became a thing could have been devoted to fixing bugs, designing skins, etc. How much more cool stuff would we have if 15% of each battle pass and event rewards wasn’t devoted to Sprays. Personally I’d rather earn banner color options, like gradients or something. Thoughts?
