Hello r/FortniteBR!
As many of you know it was r/FortniteBR's 2 year anniversary earlier this month. During that time we've made many changes to our rules - which regardless of if you lean towards we are too lenient or too strict, we can all agree there is always room for improvement/refinement.
With that in mind we decided to run a test on the sub by pretty much only enforcing certain rules for the past week. From the Fortnite store reset ((8 PM EST)) last Monday until the store reset tonight ((8 PM EST)), we allowed ((almost)) anything so long as it was:
- Fortnite Related
- Not against Reddits TOS
- Not taken with a cell phone
- SFW
It was truly a "Let the Upvotes Decide" week of moderation to a certain extent. Some of you may have liked that. Some of you probably did not. We welcome any feedback on the past week specifically, or our rules in general, and will use the feedback as we as a team review the results of this test.
Also, we will not be retroactively applying the "rules" to posts made prior to 8 PM EST Monday. We will however be removing posts based on the subs rules posted AFTER 8 PM EST. TL;DR for the next day or two its entirely possible that "rule breaking posts" will still appear on the front page, while posts made after that time which are "similar" get removed.
Please note - we will NOT discuss specific removals in this thread. If your post was removed and you arent sure why, please modmail us and include a link to the removed post.
In closing we appreciate everyone that reads/posts here, no matter if you're a frequent poster or a quiet lurker. We know everyone is here for the same reason we are because you love this game and want a place to talk and joke about it.
Here's to a great year 3 for r/FortniteBR, now go out there and finish your challenges!
